Arizona Piano Institute
Scholarships
🎶
At API, we believe that every child has an equal right to music education. In our mission to foster enriching solo and collaborative experiences for young pianists, we want to give everyone an opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of attending the events we organize for young pianists.
But for some aspiring pianists, the keys may be just out of reach. They can use a little step-up. That is why we are offering scholarships* to talented young pianists from eligible families who might otherwise not have a chance to participate in having fun with their peers and learning from the best music pedagogues.
*Scholarships are subject to eligibility and are offered for specific events only (for instance, our Summer Festival). Check the web page for an event to see whether scholarships are available.
Note: If you want to lend a hand and donate towards funding a scholarship, please visit our support page. We thank you for your contribution.
How API Scholarships work
Families may qualify for a scholarship if they meet specific criteria based on household size and income, as defined by the HUD Low Income Limits for the state of Arizona. Please see below for the income criteria and the terms and conditions.
Families who want to apply for a scholarship can do so as part of the registration process for an API event. In other words, scholarship applications can only be submitted if a student has also completed the registration process. In addition, proof of income or government support is required as part of the scholarship application process.
Please check the information web page for an API event to see if scholarships are available.
How to apply for a Summer Festival scholarship
- Fill in the event registration form and submit.
- On the confirmation page that appears after submitting the registration, click the “I want to apply for a scholarship” link.
